Making the Band

Watch rock stars get lucky at Rock Lottery 12

Your mom threw panties at Bon Jovi. Granny tossed her bra to The Beatles. And your great-great-great-great-great grandma slung her corset at Beethoven.

Because witnessing music history makes people do crazy things.

Saturday, you'll have the opportunity to experience what could end up becoming the rock supergroup of the future.

It all takes place during Rock Lottery 12 at Dan's Silverleaf in Denton. At 10a that morning, 25 hand-picked musicians will be randomly placed into five groups of five. The groups will then have under 12 precious hours to create a band name and three to five songs (with a one cover song limit).

Starting at 9:30p, each newly formed band will take the stage to perform a never-before-seen-or-heard set.

Then let the cheering, idol worshiping, and undie-flinging commence.

But first: do yourself a favor and make sure your Fruit of the Looms are clean.
