Rejoice at "In Heaven There Is No Beer" Home Brew Class

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's beer. Thou shalt make thine own.

And it shall be good.

Operating under the presumption that "In Heaven There Is No Beer," White Rock Local Market presents one truly unique introductory home brewing class, happening this Saturday at the First Unitarian Church of Dallas.

Yes, beer at a house of worship. Appropriate given some guys' devotion to expertly crafted brews.

Presented by Ty Wolosin and Kevin Sykes, brewers for Whip In and Namaste Brewing in Austin, along with Lakewood Brewing Company's Craig Bradley, the course focuses on partial and mini-mash techniques, which are easy to recreate at home.

During class you'll dine on Luscher's Post Oak Red Hots (some of the best sausages you may ever eat), and taste various beers, learning about the techniques and ingredients used to create each.

Depart with samples, instructions, and basic home brew supplies.

Then get a taste of what it's like to create something divine.
