Strike It Big

Bowlounge opens for business in Dallas Design District

A wise man once said: "This isn't Nam. This is bowling. There are rules."

And now you can apply those rules in the no-longer-just-for-design Design District at Bowlounge.

This boutique gutter-and-pin sports center isn't exactly new, it's just repurposed. Much like quotes from The Big Lebowski.

It all started as an old bowling alley in East Texas that was purchased, dismantled, and transported to its new home in Dallas.

We're talking vintage Brunswick pinsetters and returns, electronic scoring, and a dozen regulation length maple and pine lanes.
Plus, you know, colorful balls and rentable shoes.

Grab burgers now or enjoy the full menu from Twisted Root Burger Company debuting this weekend; lunch the week after. But the bar's at full speed, serving 30 draft brews, cans of PBR and Miller High Life, and fancy cocktails from star Dallas mixologist Jason Kosmas.

Because in 2013, bowling a perfect game calls for a round of Manhattans and Sidecars. Order a White Russian at your own risk.
