Beer festivals. There's one pretty much every weekend if you look hard enough.
Heck, if we serve more than three varieties of ale at a backyard BBQ, we're sure that qualifies.
But attending a truly great brew fest is what a half-price shoe sale/kitten adoption must feel like for women.
This Saturday, Flying Saucer (one of the area's main authorities on all things hop-and-barley) serves up BeerFeast 2013 at its waterfront location on Lake Ray Hubbard.
There, you'll be able to partake in more than 50 craft beers from 25 different breweries, each hand-selected by the Flying Saucer's beer gurus-in-resident.
$30 gets you a commemorative glass, 12 craft beer samples, and access to plenty of food trucks while music from Fish Fry Bingo keeps things grooving along. Then when it's all over, sit on the beach, watch the sun set, and contemplate the day.
You, friend, have just achieved Beervana.
