Flour or Corn?

North Texas Taco Festival kicks off Saturday

The Consulate General of Mexico cordially requests your attendance.

And trust us, the guy knows how to throw a party.

This Saturday, he joins forces with
Deep Ellum Outdoor Market, the Taco Trail and Entrée Dallas to put on the city's first official North Texas Taco Festival.

There, some of the top taco joints and taco trucks will stuff their tortillas with primo ingredients and a whole lot of love.

Rusty Taco, Rock and Roll Tacos, Urban Taco,
El Tizoncito, Velvet Taco and Cafeteria y Loncheria El Padrino are among the contenders vying for your admiration and taco dollars.

But the real competition is the Taco Throwdown, in which five star chefs outside the taco realm battle it out to create the ultimate gourmet taco.

Here's betting none of them feature shells made of Doritos.
