Daft Punk is playing at the mayor's house

This Lollapalooza, the coolest party in town isn’t going down in the VIP tent.
It’s happening at city hall. On the roof.

Yes, Mayor Emanuel has used his connections with brother Ari to hook up the most exclusive afterparty of them all: the Mayor’s Nest, August 3 in the city hall rooftop garden.

The mayor/Chicagoland star has lobbied Lollapalooza organizers to have Daft Punk perform a live rendition of LCD Soundystem’s “Daft Punk Is Playing at My House” so Hizzoner can fist-pump alongside a few of his best buddies.

That means a who’s who of Chicago elite will serve as celebrity guest bartenders, including former Mayor Daley, Gov. Quinn, David Axelrod and maybe, just maybe, POTUS himself.

Good thing city workers are installing a helipad for VIPs and a possible Marine One landing.

Happy April Fools' Day, Mr. Mayor. We hope you have a good one.

The Mayor’s Nest
at City Hall, 121 N. LaSalle St., Loop
Nearby: 312 Chicago; Encore Liquid Lounge; Stocks & Blondes
Is This a Joke? Yes, it’s April Fools'.
