Riff Raff

Cutting-edge clubbing below a legendary South Loop studio

Full_riff

We all know it. Black Wednesday might be a better bar night than New Year's.

The kicker? This year's is gonna be the best yet, because Riff Music Lounge opens that night below Pressure Point Recording Studios in the South Loop.

While the famed studio that once recorded albums from Justin Timberlake to R. Kelly remains above, the lower level has been converted into dance party central.

That means a long LED-lit bar, exposed brick walls, and sipping $200 Grey Goose bottle service surrounded by black leather booths with dance beats courtesy of a first-of-its-kind acoustically-tuned club with studio-quality sound.

Soundtracking your Black Wednesday will be B96 turntablist DJ Trentino, who will be remixing everyone from Swedish House Mafia to Florence + the Machine with the help of a live drum kit.

House DJs including Erik Tsunami & Bobby DeMaria will take up residence over the weekends, with live bands dropping by Thursday nights and industry nights offering 30% off on Wednesdays.

Better tell your parents you’re gonna be late for Thanksgiving.
