What’s a summer festival without a BBQ sauce wrestling match?
Thankfully, we no longer have to find out.
All we have to do is head down to this weekend’s Six Corners BBQ Fest, where masked wrestlers off the ropes aren’t the only thing flying.
Flying down the hatch are Robinson’s baby back ribs, Blackhawk BBQ’s giant turkey legs, Texas Thunder beef brisket, and Chicago BBQ Co. smoked sausage.
And it's all accompanied by live tae kwon do demonstrations, circus acts of unknown weirdness, and hot local bands including indie folk impresario Ezra Furman and alt-rock heroes Molehill.
But what’s really getting our freak flag flying is the 15-man battle royale of former WWE superstars/current Championship Wrestling of Hollywood grapplers, with names like Cedric the Hitman and CQ Money.
Feel like getting in on the action? Strap on a giant inflatable Sumo wrestling suit and you'll get to battle in the “Slam Zone” squared circle.
Just be sure those tae kwon do instructors aren't in there first.
