The Spaghetti Incident

The ultimate food fight at Double Door

Full_spag

First there were women wrestling in mud. Then the lady arm wrestlers rode into town.

And now: pasta combat.

Tonight, Bucktown’s most famous rock club turns into a saucy, sultry food fight, when The Chicago Outfit Roller Derby present Spaghetti Wrestling at Double Door.

First, the all-female roller derby league swaps the pads and skates for short shorts and crazy costumes ranging from adult Elmo to Katy Perry.

Then it’s time to get “down and derby” in an inflatable kiddie pool stocked with garbage bags full of cooked spaghetti (hold the sauce).

Then sit back, pop open a Revolution beer, and watch the noodles fly as sexy yet dangerous combatants including Busty Broke’Her and Buns of Anarchy take part in the ultimate catfight.

Hard-drinking female refs have as much fun as the contestants, as does DJ All the Way Kay spinning classic jams from the ‘70s to ‘90s.

We contacted Chef Boyardee's office, but he was unavailable for comment.
