Blaze Up

Sip a cocktail fireside at these five (literal) hot spots

[Editor's Note: Derrick Rose's absence has given the Knicks a chance this year. So they owe us. Next time you're in the Big Apple, check out the city's top five fiery bars, courtesy of Rundown on New York.]

Like Prometheus, these five bars steal fire from the gods to warm you this winter.

Bottle service, booty-shaking... and a fireplace? Yes, you can have all three at this Chelsea lounge (pictured) lined with leather banquettes and a zig-zag floor straight out of Twin Peaks.
453 W. 17th St. (10th Ave.), Chelsea

Le Barricou
You'd never expect to find a French bistro between a Spanish bakery and a Key Food, but here it is. Head to the back sofa lounge, where an antique wood-burning fireplace awaits you and your Ricard cocktail.
533 Grand St. (Lorimer St.), Williamsburg

Library Bar at Hudson Hotel
Styled like an old-school gentleman's club, with wood paneling and a 75-year-old billiard table, Library couldn't not have a roaring fireplace for lounging out with an Eagle Rare Old Fashioned.
356 W. 58th St. (9th Ave.), Midtown

You've been here before, but maybe you were too hopped up on all that scotch to notice the fireplace. Next time, kick back hearthside with a Glen Grant Single Malt hot toddy.
197 2nd Ave. (E. 13th St.), East Village

Union Hall
Between bouts of bocce in this former warehouse, curl up with a book by the fire over some beer cheese and a basket of PBR-batter corndogs, and then hit up the CRAZY $INCE DA 90$ party Union Hall throws on Saturdays.
702 Union St. (4th Ave.), Park Slope
