Renegade Holiday Market is Santa's workshop for hipsters

Full_wood6

If Santa threw a party in Wicker Park, it might look a lot like this.

Take a sleigh ride to this weekend’s Renegade Craft Fair Holiday Market, where booze, bacon, and beats make for a holiday party to remember.

You'll knock out your holiday shopping with hundreds of indie retailers offering rare gifts from beer six-packs made of wood to handmade guitar straps. Shopping aids will be provided by Goose Island beer and Black Dog Gelato’s whiskey-spiked gelato bars dunked in milk chocolate and wrapped in bacon.

Christmas carols get the boot and are replaced by choice indie selections from Reckless Records and CHIRP Radio's tastemaking DJs. And who needs holiday cookies when you've got chili, sliders, and pumpkin-roasted jalapeño tamales courtesy of MANA Food Bar.

If you get too drunk (or full) to drive, all you gotta do is hop aboard the free trolley making stops at Wicker Park and Bucktown hotspots.

Santa’s sleigh can stick it up its North Pole.
