The dog days of summer are upon us. When another big box-office flick or outdoor concert just won't do, go for something light. Something airy.
A cobblestone corridor curls around an alley, revealing RM Champagne Salon, an intimate new bar tucked behind Nellcôte.
Step into old Hollywood where candlelight dances on exposed brick and marble tables sit atop wrought iron frames. Vintage jewelry is framed on the walls and perfume bottles line the bar in homage to RM's muse, Grace Kelly.
Champagne is available by the bottle via an extensive list, which you may need sommelier Jason Wagner to translate. He'll guide you through the rotating selection of sparkling and still magnums, bubbly glass pours for under $10, plus rosé glass pours for under $15.
Put down the Champagne flute to nibble on select cheeses, canapés, petit fours, French macarons and pastries.
You will probably need a cheeseburger after, but chances are that your very impressed date will have other plans in mind.
Like a midnight showing of the next superhero movie.
