Wine has its cellars. Beer has its gardens.
And ciders have their... well, someone will figure that one out eventually.
May we suggest a 1,300-square-foot space where visitors can taste up to eight ciders made on the premises?
We could, but turns out someone's already figured that part out: welcome to the newly-opened Bantam Cider Taproom in Union Square.
You'll know you're in the right place by the smells. The scent of apples (naturally), honey, cherries, and other natural ingredients and spices wafting over from the production area confirm you've arrived at the state's first and only cider taproom.
The whole apples not falling far from the tree thing? Totally true, as you'll be sipping samples of their signature Wunderkind or the unfiltered, semi-dry Rojo by the pint or the flight (five varieties) just a few feet away.
That's better than being stuck in a cellar.
