The next time the Bruins close out a Saturday night win at the Garden, it's your job to follow suit.
Grab your date and head to toward Ward 8 in the North End, where your evening's power play begins with craft cocktails and maple chili duck wings.
You may have used this move before, back when the space used to house Nebo (now in the Financial District). But the revamped digs — the new rectangular white marble bar with brown leather high chairs, the exposed brick walls — allows some room for you to make calls on the fly (say, if your ex suddenly walks in).
But back to your current date. She's down for beers and nachos at a hockey game, so that's a plus. Now you just need to up the ante on snacks, as in the aforementioned duck wings, bacon cashew caramel corn, and local cheese board, all served until 1a.
You went Bud Light-for-Bud Light at the Garden, but now you can toast to a win-win with something off the cocktail menu, which features at least three options per category of Agave, Gin/Vodka, Rum, Whiskey, Brandy, and House. Seeing as you just spent a couple hours sitting around ice, it's time for a hearty Rye Flip (Bulleit, whole egg, sugar, cinnamon) or spicy Bee Sting (Milagro Blanco, honey, lemon, and jalapeño).
Then again, we could be over-thinking things. A draft pour of Peeper Ale and curried PEI mussels should be enough to earn you breakfast tomorrow.
And if she showed up to the game with face paint, she's a keeper.
