Pier Review

Pier 6 in Charlestown is a good look for you

Good news: we just found an amazing new wine pairing.

Actually, it's more like an amazing wine/cocktail/oyster/pretty-much-anything pairing.

OK, so it's not actually on the menu. It's the view at Pier 6, the revamped Charlestown waterfront suds-and-seafood spot now open at the Navy Yard.

And lucky for you, they never run out. Whether you take a table on the open-air rooftop patio, inside facing the floor-to-ceiling windows, or post up at the bar, panoramic views of the Boston harbor and skyline are an all-you-can-eat buffet of endless eye candy.

With that as your starting point, it's time for the pairings. Like say, old friends + draft beers + Saturday afternoon sunshine at the outdoor bar downstairs. Or new girlfriend + Prince Edward Island oysters + Friday evening sunset sparkling on the water.

And don't forget this one: you + whiskey + Boston harbor + not a damn thing else.

Always a classic.
