Let's make this clear: We love the North End.
And as such, we would never advocate removing any part of the heritage or heart of our beloved Little Italy.
That being said... we've just heard about Nebo's move to the Greenway. And, as it turns out, we're very OK with it.
The purists may disagree and say that it won't be the same after leaving its former home on Washington Street. And they're right: that place didn't have a 65-seater patio with custom-made iron furniture perched on the edge of the Greenway.
Again, that's not a diss on the North End. We're just saying that it's nice to be able to sit at your table, with a 360-degree view that subs tourists carrying Mike's Pastry boxes for an open kitchen where your spicy sausage & hot cherry pepper pizza (ask for the "Gino") is sliding in the wood-fired oven. All while the sun sets over Atlantic Ave. visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
And the food is just as amazing as it was before. Turns out we're fine with the new pizzas (think glorious gobs of burrata and spicy smashed broccoli) and entrees (don't think, just get the cioppino), plus an extensive gluten-free menu so you and your girlfriend can finally slurp spaghetti together, Lady and the Tramp-style.
Other than all that, we're totally against changing anything.
