Head West

The Boxer and Finch are two reasons to love the West End

Unless there’s a game at the Garden, your West End postgame choices are split between the sticky beer-soaked floors of dive bars or dance floors and... well, that’s about it.

That is, until now.

The former Bullfinch Hotel has moved up in weight classes to the tune of a cool multimillion-dollar renovation. Meet The Boxer Hotel, the neighborhood's new heavy hitter, now taking reservations.

This ain’t your father’s Gahden. Inside the historic Flatiron Building, you’ll find 80 custom-designed guest rooms expertly tailored for business (Keurig coffee makers and industrial-inspired desks with vintage writing lamps) or pleasure (flat-screen TVs, marble sink tops, and fishermen-knit bedding).

Got a bachelor party, or a burning desire to recreate your favorite scene from Step Brothers? Reserve some playtime in the Boxer Bunker room, which sports wooden-framed bunk beds sized for adults (or really big kids).

With these kind of comforts, the hotel's Finch restaurant has its work cut out in enticing you to leave your room. They do it with farmhouse-style communal tables and leather-backed booths to lounge in while enjoying orders of lobster mac & cheese and handcrafted cocktails, including the "Real Men Drink Cosmos" (that means you, big guy).

The bleary-eyed will appreciate their unfussy breakfast menu, with pancakes and eggs to reboot and refuel.
