For one night, Fenway's concessions go fancy


Red Sox fans have overcome a World Series drought, Derek Jeter's face, and most recently, Bobby Valentine.

And we've eventually beat them all.

So after the cowardly Marathon bomb attacks, it's only natural that Boston returns to the site of so many memorable comebacks to launch a new one.  This ain't no bobblehead night. This is Boston Bites Back, and it goes down at Fenway Park this Wednesday.

Chefs Ming Tsai (Blue Dragon) and Ken Oringer (Copa, Toro) have assembled a star-packed roster that would make Ben Cherington proud. Mario Batali, Todd English, Tiffani Faison, and Brian Poe are just some of the 80-plus chefs that make up the lineup.

And maybe for the first time ever, you won't feel ripped off by park concessions as the chefs will be cooking and serving gourmet bites to guests in the main concourse, with beer and wine also on offer.

All proceeds from the event will go towards the Boston One Fund to support victims of the Marathon bombings, so now might be a good time to put a healthy down payment on some good karma with a VIP ticket, giving you access to a special menu created by Ming and Ken in the exclusive EMC Club level, with full bar to boot.

But we're most excited to see what foodie magic they'll use on those old nacho cheese machines.
