It was nice when the Yankees played "Sweet Caroline" after the Marathon attacks.
But you didn't really think the truce was going to last, did you?
Not only are the Celtics locked in battle with the Knicks, but this weekend the Big Apple's best food trucks travel to our home turf to take on Boston's local food all-stars at the second annual Food Truck Throwdown.
Boston's hometown team returns with a balanced roster of savvy veterans — Roxy's Grilled Cheese and Bon Me, winner of last year's "Best Asian Inspired Item" award, among them — alongside talented newcomers Cookie Monstah and Captain Marden's Cod Squad.
Our bets are on Boston, and that's not just because the New York truck lineup sounds like an odd family reunion with Mike & Willie's, Uncle Gussy's and Big D's Grub.
It's because our civic pride will bubble over when the trucks meet on the Rose Kennedy Greenway, facing off in various categories like "Best Truck Design," "Best Sandwich," and more, chosen by a celebrity panel of judges including Toro's Jamie Bissonette and local burger blogger Richard Churdy.
And if your Boston pride can't be contained to just a plate, we suggest picking up a VIP pass, giving you express line privileges and the chance to meet the competitors face to face (and maybe score even more food).
Any chance to get one over on New York, we'll take it.
