For the record, 7-11 is not a grocery store.
Granted, if you're starving for provisions while stumbling back on a Saturday morning walk of shame, it'll work.
But if you're trying to plan for a date you actually want to remember, you'll need something just a little bit better. Enter Bee's Knees Supply Company, now open in the Fort Point Channel.
Notice we didn't say "grocery store." It's a supply company, and there's a big difference. Instead of 10,000 varieties of salad dressing, expect the only the essentials: prime cut steaks (from Savenor's in Beacon Hill), fresh caught Maine lobsters and handcrafted deli sandwiches.
And cheese. Lots of cheese. Like, more cheese than any place outside the North End (of Wisconsin).
So next time you're planning for a date that doesn't start at 2a, here's the plan: stock up on oysters, a couple bottles of wine (available soon), and some house-made gourmet chocolate, then invite your date over to see what she looks like pre-last-call (fingers crossed).
Even if that doesn't work out, at least you'll still have the oysters.
