Rebellious Runners

Celebrate America's original night rider with New Balance's limited edition kicks

Without football or Usain Bolt on TV, we runners are left looking for new sources of motivation.

If zombies aren't your thing, how about an angry British army hot at your heels?

In New Balance's alternate dimension, Paul Revere didn't need a horse. He used New Balance's new limited edition 890v3 and 990v3 shoes to make his famous getaway, which have made their own getaway from the production line to arrive in select stores just in time for Marathon Monday.

Granted, the 890v3s aren't the best for when you're trying to dash through undetected. The super lightweight running shoe features glow-in-the-dark detailing that will definitely get you noticed coming by land or by sea.

Plus, the glowing silhouette of Revere on horseback on the heel lets fellow runners know you appreciate Boston history as you zoom by them.

Once you've outrun the authorities, you'll want to lay low in the 990v3, an updated version of New Balance's classic stability shoe that will be flying off the shelves like crates of tea into the Boston Harbor circa 1776.

Call it a runner's revolution.
