They dash around the city, stopping traffic everywhere they go, hungry eyes checking them out.
No, not models. Food trucks.
Bon Me slows things down and stretches its legs with its first ever brick-and-mortar location, now open in Kendall Square.
Patrick Lynch and Allie Fong's yellow truck has been getting around like Taylor Swift at a Kennedy reunion as of late, and the popularity is no accident. Their signature dish, the Vietnamese banh mi sandwich — topped with spice-rubbed chicken, barbecue pork or tofu — is worth fighting traffic for.
And while they're (literally) still truckin', the new Kendall Square location makes a more-than-worthy pit stop with a homey 16-seat lunch counter, perfect for chowing down on a sandwich, rice bowl, or steaming hot bowl of soba noodle soup.
Which is nice, as the whole slurping-soup-on-your-commute thing would've been really messy.
