Changing Lanes

Abbey Road? Not quite. Abby Lane? Oh yes.

The best show in the Theatre District? It's not on a stage.

It's Abby Lane, a beautiful two-story resto-lounge now open on Tremont St. that's easily the Theatre District's biggest opening since Wicked

Bringing in the star power is Hell's Kitchen alum and Blue Inc. mastermind Jason Santos, who has unveiled a 200-seat space outfitted in floor-to-ceiling windows, two long bars, and a striking design of exposed brick and reclaimed wood beams

For the opening act, grab a front row seat at the open kitchen. Hold back your bravos as locally sourced contemporary American favorites buffalo wings and baked mac and cheese are cooked in front of you.

Digest in the upstairs lounge, where you and your date can relax on plush Italian leather chairs before catching an opera across the street. To ensure you're in the proper mood for the opera, get your buzz going on the aptly-titled Endless Summer (Patron silver, ginger, agave, and house sour mix).

Or maybe you're going to check out Lewis Black, in which case a round of Goose Island Matildas (one of 10 draught beers) is the way to go.

This has all the makings of a long-running hit.
